The perfect snack for coffee lovers in the cold season: our tasty-spicy coffee almonds! Quick and easy to prepare convinced with this treat certainly one or the other sweet tooth.

Ingredients

  • 300 g whole, unshelled almonds
  • 9 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Amaretto
  • 1 ½ tsp instant coffee powder
  • ¾ tsp ground cardamom

Preparation

First, put the brown sugar, the instant coffee powder and the cardamom in a pot and mix the ingredients. Then you stir everything with the Amaretto and heat it up. When the mass boils, add the almonds with stirring until all almonds are completely covered. Then you should reduce the heat supply slightly, so that the mass does not burn. The almonds are heated with stirring until they are crispy and the liquid is completely evaporated.

Finally, give the almonds on a flat plate. Separate them from each other immediately so they do not stick together! Now they just have to cool down for a while and then you can enjoy them together with family or friends.

  • 4 eggs, size M
  • 500 g of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 15 g gingerbread spice
  • 1 knife tip of clove powder
  • 150 g of orange
  • 75 g of citronate
  • 200 g of ground almonds
  • 200 g of ground hazelnuts
  • 100 g of butter
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 packet of baking soda
  • 2 cups freshly brewed coffee

Preparation

First stir together your butter, eggs and sugar until the mixture becomes frothy. Then add the hazelnuts, almonds, spices and oil. Let the sugar in a pot become liquid and mix it with the flour under the dough. Last, add the black, freshly cooked coffee and baking soda. Spread the dough on a large baking tray and bake at 200 ° C (top / bottom heat). You can either cut the gingerbread into rectangles or cut out and decorate with little molds. Before eating, you should let him through at least two days, so that he can develop his full aroma.
